About us

Icexpress progressive prosthetics was founded in Iceland in 2005.

The company in Iceland recently registered a non for profit company, OK Prosthetics.

Össur Kristinsson, the founder of the company is an authority on socket design. He invented the ISNY socket, Iceross liner and more recently, the Icex and Icecast.

He is also the founder of the leading prosthetic company Ossur, in Iceland.

After retiring as Director of the company Ossur, he decided to get involved in prosthetics again.

Össur Kristinsson met and worked with Johan Snyders in Iceland.

Johan inspired Ossur to open a division of his company in South Africa.
