Heugene Murray was born in Ladysmith, Natal on 16 January 1975.
He is a well respected businessman on the East Rand who recently helped a new member of Team Icexpress - 15 year old Junior Mavuso - to get his ice-technology prosthetic leg.
Citing ‘medical negligence’ as the reason for the amputation, this former professional bodybuilder has a never-say-die attitude.
Heugene became affiliated with Icexpress in 2008 and is one to watch in the F42 events.

Recent Results:
In December 2009, Heugene competed at the IWAS Games in India. He won Silver for the F42 Javelin event.
At the 2010 Nedbank National Championships, Heugene won Gold for all three his Field events while achieving a World Qualifying B distance in the Javelin event. His distances were as follows:
F42 Discus – 30.94m for Gold
F42 Javelin – 38.18m for Gold and WQB
F42 Shotput – 11.16m for Gold
