The Proprio Foot is a bionic prosthetic foot with ankle flexion.

As the worlds first intelligent foot, it is able to assists amputees when walking on changing terrain, functioning almost like a human foot.

With each stride, the Proprio foot analyzes the foot motion and gait pattern, to determine on what type of terrain the amputee is walking. With this information the proprio foot can adapt the angle of ankle to ensure the correct foot position for each step.

When sitting down, the foot points the toe down, giving the foot a more natural appearance. Users are also able to tuck both feet back when standing up or sitting down. Sufficient ground clearance is achieved when walking, as the foot actively lifts the toe each time during swing.

Going up or down stairs, the Proprio foot flexes the ankle appropriately. On descent the foot rolls over the edge of the step, improving the users balance and stability. Making it easier and safer for amputees.

By improving weight and balance, the users stability and confidence increases with each step.

Better balance and gait also reduces the strain on the amputees back, hips and knees. As a result amputees are able to walk longer before getting tired.

One of the biggest advantages of the proprio foot is that users are able to change from sport shoes to shoes with a heel effortlessly. Making the proprio foot extremely user friendly. It is also easy to set up and operate.
