Wound Care is an essential part when you become an amputee.

Taking proper care of your wound minimizes the possibility of infections and helps it heal as soon as possible. The Icexpress wound care division will assist and give advice on proper wound management.

To help speed up the wound healing, Icexpress incorporate silicon liners in our wound care. Silicon liners are made of hypo allergenic medical graded silicon. Special blends of Aloe Vera and other emollients are incorporated in the liner to help promote healthy strong skin. Silicon liners are beneficial because it increases blood flow to the amputated limb, reduce swellingand protects the newly formed scar tissue. It also shapes the limb for fitting a prosthesis.

Wound care is a continuous process and will only end once the wound is properly healed.Wound care services is available to all amputees.
